Olivers Lodge - Pre-School
Come and join us in the newly refurbished building offering 30 hours a week fully funded childcare. Term time only (39 weeks of the year).
At Oliver’s Lodge Pre-School we aim to provide a rich, creative, fun and challenging curriculum in which the children learn through inspirational and real-life learning experiences. The children will gain important knowledge, independence, and life skills to help them transition into the next chapters of life. We provide a safe, happy, and stimulating environment in which children are valued as unique individuals, supported by caring, experienced and qualified practitioners. Children learn through a play-based approach which involves both child-initiated play and adult support play. We base our activities and curriculum around the children’s interests and next steps.
Some of our activities include weekly sessions which are:
Forest School: The children get to explore the environment around them and do a range of activities such as building dens, a nature walk and playing different games. This is lead by a qualified forest school teacher.
Spanish: We have 2 members of staff who speak Spanish, so they teach the children new words and songs each week.
PE: We have weekly PE sessions this includes games on the multisport court, obstacle courses and different games the children enjoy.
We also go out for regular walks around the community and trips to the bakers, the park, the fire station, and the children love to go and visit the local alpacas.
We have a weekly newsletter we send out to parents to inform them what their child has been up to during the week, and we inform parents of what is happening the following week.
